This is really spicy and delicious already with dried sandalwood and dark fruit. It’s full-bodied, yet balanced and racy. A beautiful young wine.

A consistently enjoyable St Estèphe, this has ripe black fruits, crushed mint leaf and touches of cedar, fairly high acidity but it carries it off because there are tannins right alongside, step for step. Fairly old school in character, although good juice through the finish. Drinking Window 2023 - 2036

The 2019 Tour des Termes has an understated bouquet at first, unfolding with a mixture of red and black fruit, hints of chalk and crushed stone lending complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent tannins, fleshy for a Saint-Estèphe but just missing some personality and charm towards its earthy finish. A second bottle shows more red fruit and more flesh, though it too would have benefitted from greater length. Tasted twice.
