A layered, spicy, sweet Sauternes. Medium-to full-bodied and medium-sweet with a spicy, botrytis finish. Plenty of creme brulee at the end.

The 2019 Sigalas Rabaud is pointed and bright in feel. A Sauternes of energy more than volume, the 2019 offers up notes of lemon oil, white flowers, mint and light tropical accents. This is one of the more airy, perfumed wines of the year. The 2019 is restrained and a bit dry, but not bad.
The 2019 Sigalas Rabaud does not quite deliver the same precision on the nose as other Sauternes that I tasted. The palate is fresh and spicy with ginger and marmalade notes, moderate depth with a nicely poised, quite Barsac-like finish. Hopefully the aromatics will improve by the time of bottling.
This is a great Sauternes, an expert mix of rich creamy stone fruits and deep candied ginger notes that add the most beautiful spice and just the right amount of bitterness. Excellent quality, lovely texture. Drinking Window 2022 - 2045
