This Shiraz is sourced from 5 vineyards on the ‘floor’ of the Barossa Valley plus 3 in Eden Valley which includes one 110 year old parcel. It was bottled slightly earlier to preserve the primary attributes of the quality fruit.
This wine was aged in French and American oak and shows great primary, regional characters of plum, blackberry, anise and cedar oak. The palate is layered and plush, and the fruit tannin dominates the oak tannin. Medium to full bodied, the wine is long and comes to a clean finish with the fruit tannin providing a defined, but not abrupt end.
Imposing, dense and deep purple colour. A charming nose of quality French oak, dark plums and blackberries. It's weighty on the palate - showing textural width, as well as length. Fruit, oak, and tannin all in beautiful balance. Will age with grace. A delicious Barossa shiraz28 OCT 2019 Drink 2019–2031
