Light to mid yellow colour. The bouquet is dusty and powder-puff floral, with creamy yeast lees and almond meal notes. In the glass it developed honey and spicy, cinnamon like aromas reminiscent of mulled wine. The wine is soft and rich, with a firm vein of phenolic bitterness running through it, and the flavours and aromas are strongly skewed towards the almond meal and marzipan spectrum. A very unusual but appealing wine. It demands food. 24 JAN 2020
