“A magnificent winemaker, one of the world’s finest. Glorious, pleasurable but extraordinarily complex, savoury and compelling. Wines of purity, integrity and restraint, but understated power and intensity.”
John Gilman:
“Wines that legends are made of. One of the most serious ranges to be found in Germany.”
Some herbal elements, mirabelle, greengage and caraway. Superbly racy and playful and leaves a razor-sharp yet nicely juicy feel in the finish. A subtle and beautifully soothing touch of whipped cream rounds off the aftertaste. This is a real kabinett with all the raciness defining the style.

An absolute classic in the making. As is customary with wines from this great terroir, this is more reserved in profile than the Himmelreich but it is going to have a long and beautiful life. The bouquet is a youthful blend of pear, tangerine, a salty base of slate, citrus peel, gentle smokiness and a whisper of wild yeasts. The palate is pure, medium-full, crisp and complex, with lovely transparency and grip, fine acids and a long, vibrant and filigreed finish. First-class kabinett.

This has very attractive, fresh, rich peaches and fine, stony mineral notes. The palate delivers a salty, tangy feel with fresh, crisp and clean flavours. Nails the brief for great kabinett!
