Telltale aromatics including pear, quince, greengage, laurel and caraway. Packed with fruits, spices and herbs yet incredibly filigreed right into the spicy finish. A superb effort with real spatlese character. 94 points MFW: Drink 2028-48
Also superb. The bouquet is bright and beautifully expressive for a young Domprobst, a blend of pear, apple, violets, bee pollen, a lovely base of slate and a gentle topnote of wild yeasts. Fullish and succulent on the attack, with beautiful purity to the fruit, fine soil signature and a long, balanced and zesty finish. I love the slate-acid duality that defines the back end. This will need only three or four years in the cellar to really start drinking with style and generosity.
