The 2019 Kooyong Massale is a blend of estate grown Pinot Noir parcels from our Tuerong and Balnarring vineyards.
The maturation period was 10 months in French oak barriques and puncheons (5% new) and large format foudre. The wine was bottled without fining and with minimal filtration.
Bright aromatics of red cherry and crushed berries leap from the glass together with notes of violet and hints of allspice. There is an attractive suppleness to the mid-palate that combines blue and red fruit plus curacao flavours alongside a savoury line of tannin. It is fresh, inviting and delivers a long and moreish finish.
