The 2018er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese was harvested at 90° Oechsle and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar. It offers a stunning nose of cassis, white flowers, herbs and fine smoky elements. The wine proves beautifully creamy even if still somewhat sweet on the palate but leaves a stunningly intense and nicely tart feel of orchard fruits, minerals and herbs in the long and lingering finish. Some flavors of canned yellow peach add to the pleasure of enjoying this gorgeous lightly Auslese-styled wine. 2033-2058
