The 2018 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a clean, precise bouquet with subtle violet aromas infusing the blackberry and cassis fruit. The palate is ripe and sensual on the opening, slightly lower in acidity compared to the other Grand Crus, but undeniably harmonious and velvety-smooth toward the finish. This is a classy, almost understated Charmes-Chambertin. Very fine.

Derived from two supplies, from one as grapes and from the other as wine, the 2018 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot) offers up a pure, fruit-driven bouquet of ripe cherries and berries. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and open-knit, with an expressive, generous profile.
