Like the rouge, this is a blinder from Thierry Pillot and arguably the finest Bourgogne Blanc we have shipped from this producer. It comes from a very well situated, 0.6-hectare parcel on a northeast-facing hillside just south of Chassagne, where the vines are now 35 years old. The grapes were hand-picked, pressed, left to settle and then naturally fermented on lees for 12 months in small stainless steel vats and mostly older barrels (there is less than 10% of new oak overall).

This is a beautifully pitched Bourgogne, cool and juicy, packed with ripe lemon and green melon fruit and with a briney, tangy close.
Aromas of citrus oil and freshly baked bread introduce Pillot's 2018 Bourgogne Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy but precise wine, with lively acids, chalky structure and a saline finish.
