Coonawarra's 2017 vintage was an early one. An ideal growing season of slightly above average temperatures and dry conditions produced outstanding cool climate style Shiraz fruit harvested at optimum maturity.
Oak Maturation: This wine was matured in a combination of older French and American oak barriques for three months. Deep plum with purple hues. Concentrated notes of cherry blackberry and plum, hints of spice and subtle oak characters of dark chocolate and vanillin. Vibrant raspberry and blackberry with a touch of chocolate and peppery spice. Subtle vanillin oak characters with soft, lingering tannins on the finish.
