Cabernet Sauvignon 87%, Petit Verdot 9%, Cab Franc
Fermented in several batches in closed and open fermenters and pressed off skins after 10 to 21 days. MLF in barrel.
Made predominately from our 1973 planted, dry grown Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from our Wilyabrup vineyard. This is an approachable, yet age-worthy Cabernet with small percentages of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, which provide a perfumed/floral lift to the bouquet, and also offer blue and red berry fruit flavours. 2018 was a truly spectacular vintage for Cabernet Sauvignon in Margaret River.
Very attractive fruit purity with ripe dark-berry aromas, as well as sliced plums and forest wood. The palate has Juniper’s trademark tannin density, but delivers a supple version of this contained and powerful style. Chocolate and dark berries to close. Drink or hold. Screw cap.'
