Pale straw in colour, the nose has a floral citrus blossom lift with fruit characters of lemon, lime, green apple, pear and cumquat, complemented by characters of orange/lime marmalade, honey, almond and nougat. The palate is succulent and mouth watering featuring flavours of glazed pear and citrus, creamed honey, nougat and nuances of marmalade-like bitterness finishing with a refreshing crisp clean mouth feel.
Riesling is a super variety when it’s made into a dessert-style wine like this. The sweetness is achieved by cutting the cane to halt the moisture flow to the fruit and therefore concentrating the sugars in the dehydrating grapes. This delicious dessert wine achieves sweetness without being palate-cloying thanks to the fine-finishing acidity. Citrus marmalade flavours.'
