Full, deep red. Very reduced on the nose, hinting at red fruits, flowers and spices. Enters the mouth juicy and floral, then turns a bit youthfully four-square and solid in the middle. There's nothing over the top about this lively 2012. The tannins are serious but arrive late, spreading out to saturate the mouth. Needs time.

This is aromatically more elegant with its relatively refined nose of various red berries, earth and sandalwood hints. There is an equally refined mouth feel to the attractively delineated, intense and seductively textured medium weight flavors that possess excellent depth and persistence on the lingering finish that is less austere than usual. This is really very good and worth checking out.
