2017 Weingut Laurenz V. Friendly Gruner Veltliner, Kamptal

LAURENZ V. stands for five generations of the Laurenz Moser wine dynasty; the only producer worldwide to concentrate all of their efforts into the Grüner Veltliner variety. We are delighted to be able to offer such a diverse collection of wines produced from this grape from a truly dedicated producer. Noble to Austria, Grüner Veltliner is best described as having the floral perfume of a German Riesling, the refreshing zip of a Loire Sauvignon Blanc and the lusciousness of a Northern Italian Pinot Grigio, all in great harmony.

Yeast, pear, saltiness and yarrow on the nose signal savoriness. The palate delivers this on a slender, concentrated body that is vivid with citrus freshness and textured citrus pith. This is light, full-flavored, dry and rather moreish.
