Carefully cellared for 7 years, this wine has just started to emerge with the bottle-aged citrus blossom, lemon curd and toasty complexities for which Hunter Semillon is so famous.
Awarded 12 Trophies and 21 Gold medals to date.....
Still showing the (lack of) colour of a 1yo semillon. The bouquet, also, is partly asleep. The wine comes into its own on the finish and aftertaste, acidity joining lemon curd, lemon juice and a hint of passionfruit. By '23 it should be starting to show its inherently great quality.
