2019 Pooley Butchers Hill Pinot Noir, Coal River Valley

A single vineyard Pinot Noir from the Belmont vineyard at Richmond, adjacent to the cellar door.

'De-stemmed berries fermented (wild) on skins for 22 days. Matured in 500 litre French oak puncheons (25% new) for 10 months. Medium crimson with purple rim. Lifted ripe raspberry, rose, bay leaf and herbal nuance. Black earth shitake undertones. Black cherry, soy and ginger and juicy red berry fruits. Lifted and expressive with graphite tannin and crunchy acid.'  alc 13.8%, PH 3.69, TA 5.3 g/l, yield 5.5 t/ha.
