Shiny dark robe; strong reduction masks the nose, so this demands decanting and air. The bouquet is large, has an oxtail depth, a deeply set aroma of raspberry liqueur, a hint of violets in back. The palate gives fleshy content, is juicy and peppery. This is open and accessible, could be more refined. It can be drunk now. 13.5°. Bottled 5 June 2018. 2025-26 Dec 2018 Previously Feb 2018 ***(*) dark red. There’s definite depth in the bouquet which has a sturdy interior, gives dark berry fruits, black olives, is an STGT Beaumont-Monteux. The palate presents juicy, attractive richness, has the oily features of Beaumont, southern tendencies, with late freshness, salt. The length is good, with precision. 2022-23 Feb 2018

The 2017 Crozes Hermitage Beaumont is floral, herbal and loaded with stone fruit aromas. This medium to full-bodied wine is so sound, so soft and so gulpable, it almost seems Grenache-like—yet it's Syrah from the Northern Rhône.
