Réflexion wines are made entirely from Mount Mary estate grown fruit, primarily from the youngest plantings. The fruit grown on these vines is still developing towards the quality and consistency demanded for Mount Mary Vineyard estate wines. From time to time, depending on the vintage, the Winery will release limited quantities of red and white wines under the Réflexion label. Each bottle in Réflexion range reflects a sense of place and time.
Looking forward to the 2018 Mount Mary releases in a little while, but meanwhile, here’s some of the parts taken out of the estate Chardonnay blend.
A little stuck match, lime and nectarine, cashew and spice. It’s fine but flavoursome, firm acidity crunching its way through a nutty and creamy core, juicy and flinty, with tang, lime rind, and chalky feel on a pretty long finish. Lovely balance. Very good drinking here.
