A very expressive nose, showing some delicate notes of white flowers, lavender, dark plum and vanilla with a touch of clove in the background.Flavours of blueberries blend harmoniously with the slight smokiness of the oak. Elegant tannins give a good volume and energy to the wine.
Estate vines planted '75 and 92, most machine-harvested, a portion hand-picked for whole bunch, open-fermented, 10-15 days on skins, matured for 20 months in hogsheads (33% new). The fruit quality is good, the generosity reflecting the vintage, ripeness spot on.
