80/20% cabernet sauvignon, matured for 18 months in tight-grain French oak. It all happens in a rush: vivid crimson colour, a bouquet breathing cassis, redcurrant and French oak, the palate in quick agreement before injecting a healthy dose of gravelly tannins into the mix. The comes the red stoplight. Unless you are a tannin junkie, give yourself some breathing space: the wine needs it.
