This wine is the perfect expression of the terroir, showing characteristics derived from fruit cultivated in the Isonzo Valley.
Bright straw-yellow in colour, the nose is intense, refined, with tropical grapefruit flavours dominating. Background mineral notes are also evident.
The palate is soft, fresh, with accent on citrus and tropical fruit. It is characteristic for the freshness, the amplitude of the perfumes and for its structure. Persistent. Very well done, this big wine stays light on its feet and invites you to take one sip after another. The Vieris is definitely a wine that deserves to be bought and put in the cellar. It will live 15+ years.
Bright pale golden-tinged straw color. Penetrating herb- and oak spice-accented aromas of grapefruit and green lime, with undertones of ripe stone fruit in the background. Shows a vaguely green fruit and herbal character to its fresh citrus and tropical fruit flavors, but in a riper, less pungent style than this winery’s 2017 Piere. Closes long and gently flinty, with very good focus and clarity. Though there is no lack of personality here, I think the hot vintage led to this wine having a slightly compressed aromatic expression.
