The 2018 Pommard Village has a fragrant, floral bouquet with wilted rose petals filtering through the red berry fruit, the 50% new oak neatly integrated (although I might have liked a few stems here). The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red berry fruit, a pinch of white pepper and a nicely detailed if not powerful finish. It has lovely composure, though, and should drink nicely over the next decade.

This too is aromatically quite pretty though here the aromas are more deeply pitched with more emphasis on earth and spice nuances as well. The sleek, delicious and appealingly intense medium weight flavors possess very good underlying tension on the refreshing finish where the only reproach is a mild touch of warmth.
