Mountadam Vineyards was established in 1972. The fruit used to craft this wine was selected from both the western and eastern vineyards. The vines are planted at 450 to 550 meters above sea level.
Mountadam vineyard at 550m elevation. Fermented in seasoned French oak barriques with partial mlf. Here is evidence that less is always more with chardonnay, the elegance a marked step up from Mountadam's Five-Fifty. Fruit purity and minerality triumph over oak. Bright citrus, al dente white peach and spice are ever-so-subtly blessed with classy French oak. The line and tension of malic acidity draws out a long, thrilling finish that will set this vintage among the greats from this historic estate.
