A pure, yet complex example of Margaret River Chardonnay with half the wine matured for eight months in French oak barriques, and the remainder in stainless steel tanks to retain fruit freshness and vibrancy. The finished wine is cellared on the Estate for another 12 months to ensure total balance and harmonization between fruit purity and oak complexity. Will reward cellaring over the next 5 years.
Now a 3rd generation winery, established by the Devitt family in 1975, Ashbrook produced its first commercial wine in 1979 and has just completed its 37th vintage. Currently owned and operated by Carol and Brian Devitt, daughter Catherine Edwards, son Richard and son-in-law Kingsley Edwards, Ashbrook has now been a family business for over 40 years. Only grapes handpicked and grown on the Estate are used and all processing, winemaking, bottling and packaging are closely controlled using the Estate’s own private facilities.
