2018 Jurij Fiore e Figlia Punto di Vista Chianti Classico, Tuscany

Jurij Fiore approaches his new project in Lamole with lessons he learned in Burgundy. He bottles the two sites separately and ages them in 228 litre French oak barrels, a third of which are new. This hails from 50-year-old vines planted at 600 metres. Compared to the Porcaccia Miseria, this is much more balsamic than floral in fragrance. It is also relatively substantial in fruit and power. On the palate, dark cherry is punctuated by thyme, graphite and blood orange nuances while powdery tannins wrap securely around the whole. Drinking Window 2021 – 2031
