2020 Pewsey Vale Prima Off-Dry Riesling, Eden Valley

Pewsey Vale Vineyard’s love affair with Riesling started in 1847, when our vineyard was the first planted in the Eden Valley. A hidden utopia, our family reinvigorated Pewsey Vale Vineyard in the 1960s. The focus fell sharply on the beauty and diversity of Riesling in its many forms. One vineyard. One variety. One vision. This vision has seen Pewsey Vale Vineyard create the most awarded and beloved Riesling in Australia.

The 2020 Pewsey Vale Prima Riesling exhibits the purity of style that we consistently see in this wine. Very pale in colour with green hues. The aromas has hints of the classic Pewsey Vale Riesling characters but is most redolent of white cherries, nectarines and lychees. The palate shows great intensity, length and finesse with a vibrancy of perfumed fruits such as guava and mandarin overlaid with a touch of white cherry, sorbet and clove. The wine is succulent, mouth-watering and will cellar well, slowly developing layers of fresh toast and spice.
