Greenock Shiraz 2020 is thick purple-black in colour. The aroma promptly evokes an extensive wine awaits with a complex of black plum, cocoa, floral perfume, toasty oak, clove spice and dark fruit cake.The palate is full-bodied to the utmost. Immense with flavour and concentration.
It is rich and powerful with ripe black fruits dominating throughout. Evident oak adds a further layer, tucked in behind the solid fruit. Tannins are obvious, their dryness counter-balancing the opulent fruit richness, but being natural they’re perfectly integrated adding a muscular structure. This is a fully harmonious, smart and pure wine that’s completed with an almost boundless finish. Greenock is a complex, refined and classy Barossa Shiraz that has a long cellaring future.
