Bright fresh-berried and red-purple. Alive and inviting: no Instagram filter required... Abundant red and black berry aromatics for which cabernet sauvignon is rightly renowned.
Blackberry mulberry raspberry loganberry. Traces of cassis, menthol, and spearmint; eucalyptus, fresh pepper, laurel leaf and fennel fronds. These are such dominant aromas that the poised and subtle older French oak bouquet is almost imperceptible, but would be missed if it wasn’t there.
A two-part harmony of raging, surging, power-bursting berry fruit flavours harnessed by swirling, rolling currents of tannin - foursquare and block in shape. Licks of racing acidity are slick and keen around the entire palate’s edge. The depth of berry fruit is Mariana Trench-like, and the drying tannins that make for a long, lingering aftertaste promise life in the cellar. This is cabernet that is proud, yet also winningly friendly.
