This wine has all the delicious citrus flavours that Canberra District Riesling is known for. The off-dry style ensures that the small amounts of residual sugar are nicely matched with the wine's natural acidity making it light and refreshing.
The aroma is very reserved and shy, with a hint of greenness, a fresh-herb note, and a little smoky note, possibly due to a trace of reduction. The palate is lean, very lemony and bright in its acidity, leaving a tanginess on the aftertaste. Very intense apple and citrus flavours, the fruit-sweetness balancing and striking sparks off the cool-grown acidity. Time will only improve this wine—it's already a great drink but it's still a baby.
