The 2017 Dhroner Hofberg Riesling Kabinett reflects the cooler terroir of the Hofberg. Picked in early October at 80° to 82° Oechsle and vinified in stainless steel, this is a very clear, round, fresh and piquant Kabinett with 8.5% alcohol and about 50 grams of unfermented sugar. It is beautifully piquant, stimulating and fruity as well as absolutely gorgeous in its filigreed and lush style. The acidity is crystalline, and the finish stimulatingly salty. This is one of the best buys at this charismatic domaine.

Tasted in April 2019. Still slightly funky from the wild ferment, but it is also brimming with tropical fruits and flowers. Blessed with a long whiplash finish, too. This exciting Kabinett stops you dead in your tracks. Drink or hold.
