James Halliday “Alan McCorkindale is a genius with Pinot Noir”
Single Vineyard’ Pinot Noir harvested from the clay/limestone slopes of the ‘Chalky’ vineyard in New Zealand’s Waipara Valley. This close-planted, low yielding, hillside vineyard is unirrigated.
Garnet cassis. Aromas of blackberry, brambles and blueberry. The palate is elegant and vibrant, with toasty oak, rich tannins and undertones of dark chocolate and dark berries. This wine will cellar for up to 10 years.
