A classic Rutherglen Shiraz. As Australia’s favourite grape you cannot go past this rich intense number. Bursting at the seams with of flavours of spicy plum, dark fruits and smooth Vanilla and chocolate from the Oak Maturation. Put this away for five years or more. Once opened pair with locally reared lamb.
Deep and dense colour. Intense aroma of crushed red berries and dried herbs with a hint of pepper spice. Richly flavoured with plum, dark berry fruits and smooth mocha and spice from oak maturation, the fine structural tannins give it great length on the finish. This wine has all the hallmarks of a classic Rutherglen Shiraz.
It sees a smidgen of new oak, but it's mostly basket-pressed to 2-4yo French. It offers a sweet core of licoricey fruit, brightened by boysenberry, and feels both plush and eager to please. It's as clean as it is cuddly and uncomplicated. Smoky/cedary oak has been put to good use too.
