From the third smallest Grand Cru in Alsace, Kientzler are one of very small handful of producers to own a part of what is widely regarded as one of Alsace's finest vineyards.
2018 finishes with 13.60% Alc/Vol; 2.05 g/l RS; 6.69 g/l TA.
This is an extremely mineral dry riesling that might be too austere for some, but we find it really compelling, due to its enormous minerality and a personality that’s as tight as the fully wound spring of a Breguet watch. The noble austerity makes it feel a lot lighter than 13.5% alcohol sounds. No hint of fat, in spite of the very warm vintage! Drinkable now, but better from 2023.

Geisberg has been well documented since 1308 as Riesling country par excellence. The wines are fragrant and have great finesse, yet they are also powerful and long lived. These are true Grand crus, not widely available and highly sought after. Andre Kientzler is the greatest exponent of Geisberg Riesling.
