The 2019 vintage benefitted from a warm spell in late September that softened the tannins in the thick skins of the Martini clone and lignified the stems on the Pommard clone that we love doing whole-cluster fermentations on. The resulting blend is a wonderful mix of bramble fruit with accompanying cola and spice notes that emerge through the midpalate, with soft tannins letting the wine glide through a long, luscious finish. Opulent, yet refined, the 2019 is showing great right out of the bottle now and will age beautifully.!
