Dark cherry, roses, a little exotic spice and smokiness. It’s fine-boned in a way, but also presents ample cherry and floral perfumed flavours, some sap and bramble, moving into a bit of red fruit action, gentle earthiness, and a fine red fruited finish, dry and long to close. Really like this. Tastes, curiously, a lot like Gevrey!

When you first smell this wine you cannot escape the exotic lifted perfume. Aromas of dark morello cherry, rose petals, brambles, allspice, clove and nutmeg. A complement of fine oak is lurking in the background and manifests itself as a subtle cedary, cigar box aroma.
The flavours accurately reflect the aromas. All held together with a, for a want of a better word, juiciness. Perfect acidity and a long perstistant finish.
