Good depth of colour, with a faint residue of purple. The bouquet is about smoked charcuterie and dried herbs, some dried fruits as well including dried berries. The wine is full-bodied and ample, with generous tannins and a firm final grip. A serious pinot with concentration and weight, which pushes ripeness a bit and gets away with it. There's a fruit-sweet core and it's a generous wine from every angle. Great value.13 Mar 2022 Drink 2022–2029
92 points Huon Hooke therealreview.comFragrant with so many spices, plus some toasty cedary oak too. A flush of ripe fruit works across the more medium-bodied palate offering a combo of rhubarb, cherries and pips plus chinotto tang. The tannins have some give and it's refreshing to the very last drop.
