88/12% cabernet/petit verdot; 28 days on skins, matured for 18 months in French oak (60% new). This is quite a potent amount of petit verdot – as little as 1-2% can be perceived in the glass. Here, it transforms the aromas into a decidedly blue space – blueberries, potpourri, lavendar, and mulberries. In the mouth, the wine is velvety, cushioned and plush ... it's just wonderful. It is big and concentrated, but there's a cooling, graphite quality to the tannins that elevate it right out of the park – you've got to wait for this to emerge through the finish. Make sure you do. Awesome.

Medium deep colour. Intense blackcurrant, dark chocolate, roasted chestnut aromas and flavours with herb garden, chinotto notes, fine-grained/ cedary tannins, superbly integrated vanilla, mocha notes and fresh long mineral acidity. Finishes al-dente firm. A classic vintage with lovely definition, density and vinosity. Should develop very well over the medium to long term. Drink now but best 2024-2032 14.5% alc
