Good depth of red, well-tinged with purple, and the nose is lightly herbal over red and darker fruit aromas. It's light to medium-bodied and the soft palate is punctuated by lightly gritty tannins. An attractive light to medium-weight pinot that has a future.04 Feb 2022

25% Whole Bunch. From the oldest Pinot Noir vines on the estate hence Block 1. Just 4 barrels produced - the best barrels in 2020 that really stood out and which deserved their own designation and label. Half from the 115 and half from 777 aged in a new barrel and in this half of the blend 30% whole bunch was used making for 15% whole bunch in the final wine after blending with the barrel of 115. Notably deeper richer and spicier than the estate cuvee and will age comfortably for years to come yet very impressive already..
