Made by O’Neill Vintners, who make ripe Chardonnays from grapes grown in California – Monterey, Paso Robles and Clarksburg. It’s 100% barrel fermented, 100% malolactic fermentation, and spends seven months in American and French oak. It’s good, rich drinking now, and will fill out with another year or so; I wouldn’t keep it much beyond that.
94 points Kim Brebach's Best Buys Of The Year
With a name like The Creamery, it should come as no surprise that this is a deliciously full-bodied, lusciously rich Chardonnay. It’s also seen some serious action on the competition circuit in years past, scooping up ‘Best in Class’ trophies and golds galore. You can expect all that award-winning chutzpah (and then some) in this new release
100% barrel fermented, 100% malolactic fermentation. 7 months barrel aging in 60% American / 40% French oak
This Chardonnay is 100% barrel fermented to create a rich wine exhibiting a classic profile of tropical fruit and Bosc pear alongside warm oak aromatics. The luscious palate suggests crème brulée and buttered toast, and finishes with fresh acidity.
