There is something compelling about the coiled reticence of a cool season on the Derwent. Intricately structured with fine-boned tannins and nicely toned acid drive, this is a vintage for the cellar. There is much more integrity, persistence and definition wrapped in its folds than first glances suggest. Its elegant rose petal and red cherry fruit will emerge in time. Patience will be rewarded.

2020 Estate Pinot Noir biodynamic is aromatic on the nose, a combination of cherry blossom and the smell of the forest after rain. More complexity will show with maturation. The palate is rich and perfectly balanced between fruit sweetness and tannin grip. The length of the wine persists and the finish is dry.
