Sangiovese is also a thin-skinned variety like Nebbiolo. It is known for it's earthy more than fruity notes, it has attractive mid red colour and can be characterised by high levels of tannin well balanced by acid.
Bright cherry red. Sweet red cherries on the nose with hints of thyme, fennel and dried bay leaf. Mouth-filling tannins with sweet red cherry flavours and a hint of spice on the finish. Have it with chargrilled eye fillet.
