Hand-picked fruit, fermented wild with 60% whole bunches, matured 18 months in Burgundian oak (25-30% new). Early days still for this little beauty, which brings a stalky wild edge to cool-climate Beechworth shiraz. Stems bring a complexity and structure; they're both here contributing to the wine. Blue and red fruit aromas with green twig, leaf, earth and smoky charcuterie notes. The palate is dense and tight in sturdy tannins with a strong savoury bent. A wine for further ageing.
