From a couple of elite Bleasdale vineyards as well as growers, 12 months in 22% new oak. Alluring dark garnet colour, earthy elements, as well as the classical dark plums and a nice seasoning of pepper. Best of all, there's a chalky texture through the palate that adds a moreish and sophisticated feel to the finish.

Shiraz was the first red grape variety planted in Langhorne Creek at Bleasdale in 1858 and continues to thrive today. Individual vineyard blocks are picked and crushed separately before maturation and blending.Matured 12 months in new (22%) and seasoned French oak puncheons.
This wine shows flavours of ripe plums and other dark berries, layered with licorice, pepper and fresh spices. Drinking well now, but with the potential to be a long term cellaring prospect if desired. Lightly fined and racked before bottling without filtration, it is normal for some sediment to form. Decanting one hour before drinking is recommended.
