A blend of 5 Mediterranean red grapes, 37/23/18/13/9% barbera/tempranillo/dolcetto/refosco/sangiovese. Demonstrates why blends matter, and even more so why Mediterranean grape varieties are so well suited to this part of the world. Vivid, deep purple hues. Red cherry, wild raspberry, fennel seed, earth and spice aromas are welcoming, fresh and vital. The palate is supple and even with a brisk acid crunch. So good, so more-ish. Terrific value.

A tasty blend 8% Dolcetto, 18% Durif, 17% Refosco, 13%Tempranillo,12% Pinot Noir, 6% Sangiovese, 4% Nebbiolo, 1% Shiraz.
All components were fermented separately in open tubs using wild yeasts and were gently hand plunged. Bright crimson Bright red fruit and cherry ripe. Plumy ripe fruit and maraschino cherry teamed with lovely fine tannins.
