The 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape is more flattering to drink at this stage than the 2017. It's more open and showing more raspberries and herbal nuances, yet still carries notes of dark chocolate and mocha. It's full-bodied and silky, perhaps showing just a hint of warmth on the long, softly tannic finish.
