While this was a warm and challenging year for many, this has been crafted with aplomb. Destemmed to retain whole berries. Pressed to mostly older French oak (20% new), where it finished alcoholic and malolactic ferments and matured for 15 months. The wines at this address have evolved, there is no doubt. The acidity, palpably far more natural than in the past. The tannins, more deftly extracted. Blue and brambly blackberry, iodine, tapenade and salumi. Floral, mid weighted of feel and impeccably balanced by detailed tannic seams imparting a welcome savouriness. Lovely for the price.

Dark ruby red with purple hues. A lifted and aromatic wine with notes of red cherry, plum, strawberry, mulberry and brown spices. The palate is dense, soft and generous. Well-balanced acid intertwines with layers of black fruits, mulberry and rhubarb. An approachable wine with a sweet mid-palate, this wine finishes with savoury spices from the seasoned oak.
