2022 Hughes + Hughes Sauvignon Blanc, Southern Tasmania

Fruit solely from the Clarence House vineyard in the Coal River Valley, picked at 12.6 baume, skin soaked for 12 hours, naturally fermented in tank for 56 days. Bottled unfined and filtered.

These wines seek to champion varietal expression. They seek to add texture and complexity but not at the expense of enjoyment and purity. The winemaking can be a little experimental and playful. We hope these wines are enjoyed over and over again from day one.

Fruit from two vineyards in the Coal River Valley (Clarence House and Nocton), picked at 12.5 baume, skin soaked for 12 hours, 90% naturally fermented in tank and 10% naturally fermented in oak before being matured on lees. Bottled unfined and filtered.
