Super-dense and packed with flavour but with real verve and brightness. Sutton Grange's location in the granite foothills of Mount Alexander is evident here. Granite provides mineral lift and natural balance, which makes an ideal background for medium-bodied, black/blue-fruited young syrah. A dash of spice, a hint of cedary oak backed by chocolatey tannins rounds this charmer very well.
