Wood smoke on the nose. Fairly full-bodied, this has a big presence on the palate, and fine tannins that are saturated in ripe fruit. It does feel very ripe, but there's freshness here too, and it ends with tight yet juicy tannins. Not the most complex, but an enjoyable mouthful of northern Rhône fruit. All destemmed, aged for 12 months in oak barrels and vats.
